CMHA's Annual Fundraising Event, "Mental Health Voices," is a breakfast fundraiser and is our major fundraising event of the year.  This year's event is being held on Wednesday, October 6th, at the Vernon Golf & Country Club.  The breakfast will begin at 7:30 AM, and will last for exactly one hour.  Reservations are required, and you can reserve a seat by calling our Branch Office at (250) 542-3114.  There is no minimum or maximum gift amount, and all of the funds raised go towards CMHA programs and services in our community!  We look forward to seeing you there!

CMHA's Annual General Meeting (AGM), will be held on Monday, September 27th, 2010.  The meeting is at CMHA and is tentatively scheduled to start at 7 PM.  Hope to see you there!

Did you know?

One in five Canadians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime.  Mental illness strikes across gender, age, culture, education and income groups.  The individuals affected are our friends, family members, neighbours and co-workers: mental illness touches us all. 

The Canadian Mental Health Association (Vernon Branch) strives to provide the information, knowledge and support necessary to empower recovery for these individuals.  We exist to promote Mental Wellness in the community of Vernon by enabling individuals, groups and communities to increase control over and to enhance their mental health.

To this end, we provide a wide range of rehabilitation programs and training opportunities targeting individuals in recovery.  We also provide public education and supported housing.
